Художник и дизайнер Бенджамин Шайн стал известен в сети благодаря инстаграм-аккаунту в котором он выкладывает удивительные портреты, которые он создает из прозрачной ткани.

Автор использует в своей работе множество трюков, чтобы складки ткани выглядели как настоящие скульптуры, он обрабатывает тюль специальным составом для жесткости, а также, чтобы придать дополнительный объем, пользуется стальными опорами и сеткой.

Happy New Year! The start of a new year is much like a blank canvas — primed for grand plans and new ideas…but potentially daunting too. Чтобы получить эффект живописи, художник многократно складывает ткань в несколько слоев. Он не сшивает её и не скрепляет складки булавками или клеем, а закрепляет их с помощью пара и утюга.

Одна из последних работ мастера называется «Тихо» и располагается в свободном доступе на открытом воздухе. Эта композиция сделана из переработанного полиэтилена высокой плотности, сформированного вокруг стальной рамы. Цвет и даже структура скульптуры, в течение дня, в разное время суток она выглядит совсем по-разному.
